Deutzia

Deutzia was previously known as 'Pink Pompon'. There are numerous fine Deutzia species and varieties, which add masses of colour to the garden in early summer. They require little special attention - all are hardy shrubs, capable of thriving in most soils and aspects. The various garden hybrids nearly all have the same parents and yet look quite distinct from each other. 'Rosea Plena' is a popular and free-flowering hybrid, with dense growth and prolific large clusters of fully double rose-pink blooms, turning white as they age. Plants benefit from regular thinning out of old shoots after flowering.
